Imagine riding an escalator that goes down for so long that all you see ahead of you is a black hole. It feels as though you are slowly being sucked into another dimension. The escalator is packed with busy commuters all dressed in fancy business attire who scurry around you in a frenzy of ambitious activity. The escalator goes so far down, and for so long, that you cant decide whether you should attempt to make it go by more quickly by beginning to walk down it as it moves, or just stand still and enjoy the ride into the abyss that is the Washington DC metro station.
From the inside it feels like the inside of space mountain, or the control center of some sciene fiction space craft.
