With no real plans after graduation, and feeling lost in the daunting oblivion that was "planning for my future," I romantically put all my eggs in one basket. That basket being, an internship at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. And to my surprise, my eggs hatched.
So here I am in Washington DC, living and working in a place that is so rich in history and culture. Had you asked me one year ago what I thought I would be doing after I graduated college, I never could have, nor would have imagined this: that I would be interning at the mecca for the performing arts in the United States, working with and learning from some of the most experienced and intelligent arts mangers, administrators and educators, that this country has to offer. To have the opportunity is truly incredible. Each day as I walk into work I am still in shock and awe, that I am getting the chance to do exactly what it is that I am passionate about, in the best place there is to do it. I look forward to taking advantage of every aspect of this opportunity, as I continue to tumble on, just like a rolling stone...
