This Too Shall Pass

The new video for the song "This too shall pass" by Ok Go, is AMAZING! i'm in love with it.  i love this band because i truly think they make the most creative, interesting, and inspired music videos of anyone out there these days.  i just can't help but smile when i watch this.  It reminds me of that game "mouse trap" that i loved when i was a kid. i wonder how long this took to shoot, in order to get all of those contraptions to work perfectly? Enjoy!

Also, i've been having serious hair envy. i miss having long hair so badly, and of course my hair just WILL NOT grow fast enough.  Instead it is in that awkward stage when it is in between short and long, and has weird layers, and you just can't do anything with it.  i've been lusting over the long beautiful locks of the lovely lady from Hucklberry Vintage, not to mention this dress and several of her other wonderful vintage items.

Finally, i haven't been able to stop listening to the album "The Trials of Van Occupanther" by Midlake
it is a somewhat old album, having been released in 2006. They actually just released a new album "The Courage of Others" in february, which i also love. But for some reason i just can't stop listening to this one as of late. It is so beautiful and reminds me of springtime and being surrounded by nature.
Especially in love with this song:

That's all for now,

 Love. Love.

Baked and Wired

For those of you who haven't noticed, a new trend has taken over: Cupcakes! And I have to admit that i am all aboard! The best cupcakes that have had so far in DC, are by far the delectable little morsels from the cutest little bakery/coffee shop in Georgetown, "Baked and Wired." They have cupcake flavors ranging from, classic chocolate, to red velvet, to birthday cake, peanut butter cup, and pumpkin! All of there baked goods are baked fresh in house, and they are scrumptous! They also make their own granola, which is cleverly named "hippie crack" and looks very tasty, but i have yet to try it. Below is my strawberry cupcake from last weekened. Yum!

Broken Bells

Omigoodness, omigoodness! I apologize for the bombardment of music in the past few posts, but i have been so eagerly awaiting the release of the debut album from duo Brion Burton aka Danger mouse and James Mercer (lead singer of the Shins), who together make up Broken Bells.  I posted their first single "the High Road" in last months top five, and love it so much! The self-titled album doesn't come out until March 9th, but the entire album is available now on NPRs Exclusive First Listen.  Give it a listen and tell me what you think!

Wonderful, Wonderful Copenhagen

Oh, how I long to be back in this wonderful city!

Stripes, Scarves, and Coats, Oh my!

Here is some fashion inspiration from some ladies who know how to wear some of my favorite clothing items...Stripes, Scarves, and Coats.

I love her striped scarf and the layered look.

I am just speechless over this outfit.  She looks so comfortable, yet chic which is my favorite style of all. I love her coat, big cozy scarf, the bun on top of her head, and the plum colored lipstick to finish it all off.

this is women's sports wear perfection! with the red lips, I die!

love the oversized coat

striped skirt with green tights, to die for!

I'm disappointed that project runway isn't on tonight, so the these images from the Sartorialist will have to suffice for tonight.
Love, Love.
